Former Joan of Arcadia star Amber Tamblyn joins Dr. House’s Princeton Plainsboro team for a multi-episode arc of Fox’s innovative medical drama.Amber Tamblyn plays a brilliant and aggressive medical student who was allowed by Dr. House in his team despite not being certified to practice medicine. Such move is yet again another ethically questionable way Dr. House, played by actor Hugh Laurie, chooses to operate.
The casting of Amber Tamblyn is said to temporarily fill the void left by Olivia Wilde who is currently shooting her movie Cowboys & Aliens.
The show’s seventh season is set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 20 on Fox Channel.
House is far from being yet another medical drama woven by a plot that involves a villain who is a medical malady and an irreverent yet controversial doctor who has trust issues with everyone, let alone with his patients.
The show, produced by Heel and Toe Films, Shore Z Productions and Bad Hat Harry Productions in association with Universal Media Studios, has been receiving accolades from the Emmy’s. Apart from lead actor, Hugh Laurie, it also stars Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps and Peter Jacobson among others.
