Jeff Bridges: Golden Globes Best Actor
Jeff Bridges has always been an amazing actor; one of the most overlooked in his generation though when it comes time for awards to be passed out. This year Jeff is getting a taste of the acknowledgment he has long deserved. For Bridges’ performance in Crazy Heart, he was presented with an award at last night’s Golden Globes for Best Actor. Jeff’s character, Bad Blake is a worn out country music has-been, heavily into alcohol and sleazy motels who pays for his seedy lifestyle through traveling to play gigs at bars in various small locales. Things change when he meets a female journalist whose part is played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Film Critics Association have also awarded Jeff as Best Actor for the role and he is in line for an Academy Award as well.
