American actor and singer Leif Garrett’s personal life took another public blow when he got arrested last February 2 at a Los Angeles subway station for the possession of narcotics. Police approached Garrett when they noticed his strange behavior, noting his ‘shaking and sweating’ in the future statements. Garrett defended his “acting in a pronounced way” with his nervousness around law enforcement “because of his other meetings with them in the past”.

After a thorough searching, Leif eventually confessed to possessing Black Tar Heroin in his shoe. The actor posted his $10,000 bail and was charged with a felony count for possession.

This was not the former star’s first brush with drugs and the authorities- In 1996 and 1999, the actor-singer was arrested for possession of cocaine, heroin and Quaaludes.
